July 2011-
Attorney Brian White settles a Jones Act injury case for $400,000. The Jones Act seaman aggravated his pre-existing back injury while pulling on a shore line. Intensive investigation revealed information that the company could not let go before a jury and the injured worker obtained a favorable settlement.
April 2011 -
Settled a case involving a man that slipped and twisted his knee on a bent metal stair. Plaintiff admitted that he saw the bent step when he was walking up the stairs and also saw it again when he was walking back down. Plaintiff twisted his knee on the bent stair and partially fell. Plaintiff underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee which has previously been injured. Plaintiff previously had the same surgery on his left knee. However, the step clearly aggravated the pre-existing condition. Attorney Brian White obtained a settlement in the amount of $190,000.
July 2010 -
Settled motor vehicle accident case for $330,000. Client aggravated a spine injury. [client received $169,729.12; attorney’s fees and expenses were $160,270.88]
July 2010 -
Settled non-operated back injury case for $125,000, Client aggravated arthritic condition in his back. [client received $60,296.10; attorney’s fees and expenses were $64,703.90]
June 2010 –
Prevailed at trial in a non-operated back injury case arising from a workplace injury in Iraq. In addition to a lump sum payment, Client will receive $1,379.62 every two weeks for life. Defendant was also ordered to pay Brian White’s attorney’s fees and expenses. [Claimant paid no attorney’s fees or expenses] The value of the trial court’s Award was many times more that Plaintiff’s pre-trial demand.
June 2010 –
In a non-operated back injury car accident case, obtained settlement for the policy limits of the at-fault driver’s insurance policy, $25,000. [client received $13,812.18, attorney’s fees and expenses were $11,187.82]
April 2010 –
Brian White successfully represented contractor injured in Iraq who sustained a shoulder injury when an insurgent threw a rock through the windshield of his truck. Based upon the unique facts of the case, the trial court awarded $144,791.39 (this is exclusive of attorney’s fees) plus payment of on-going weekly compensation payments of $1,047.16 as well as payment for reasonable and necessary medical treatment for the for the shoulder and a skin condition. Additionally, the Court order Defendant to pay Brain White’s attorney’s fees and expenses. [Claimant paid no attorney’s fees or expenses]
October 2009-
In an operated back Jones Act injury case, Brian White successfully settles client’s case for $750,000 after picking a jury. This amount was significantly more than Plaintiff’s pretrial demand. [client received $397,776.77, attorney’s fees and expenses and medical bills were $352,223.23]
July 2009 –
Attorney Brian White successfully settles a Dram Shop Act case for $450,000. Client sustained a spine injury. [client received $230,315.27; attorney’s fees and expenses were $219,684.73]
June 2009 –
Attorney Brian White successfully settles a motor vehicle accident for $425,000. Client aggravated a pre-existing spine injury. [client received $159,118.66; attorney’s fees and expenses were $265,881.34. this figure includes repayment to the firm for neck surgery that the firm paid for.]
